The circulatory system

Functions of the Circulatory System

  • Respiration - delivers oxygen to the cells and removing carbon dioxide from them
  • Nutrition - carries digested food substances to the cells of the body
  • Waste Removal -  disposes of waste products and poisons that would harm the body if they accumulated
  • Immunity - helps protect the body from disease
  • Cellular Communication - the circulatory system provides a mode of transport for hormones
  • Thermoregulation - the circulatory system transports heat (can both warm and cool body)

Here you have some really useful videos about one of the most important system for our body!

Enjoy them!

Growing our garden

Last week, 4th of Primary visited our school garden.

Food Pyramid Games

To learn more about what we eat try these interactive games and enjoy your diet! =)

What are nutrients and why are they good for you?

Nutrients are the substances in food that our bodies process to enable it to function. Your nutrient requirements are influenced by factors including your age, growth stage and activity. Nutrients are so small that they can’t be seen by the naked eye.

Volcanoes Eruption

After our interesting visit to our laboratory to know more about rocks, we studied how volcanoes erupt and one of our students Marcos made a great model about one of the most famous in Iceland.

Great job Marcos! Thanks for your enthusiasm! =)
